Advent: Christmas Lanterns

http://thetigerchronicle.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Christmas

Today's advent activity is to make Christmas lanterns, which is a variation of the Halloween lanterns that we made in October.  The materials used are:
  • clean glass jars
  • silver poster paint
  • glitter paints (green, purple)
  • art tissue papers (red, Christmas-theme, gold, white, green)
  • Christmas-theme stencils
  • Star-shaped confetti
  • diluted PVA glue
  • paintbrushes
  • garden wire
  • pliers
I put all the supplies on the table and explained to Tiger about the different ways to decorate the lanterns.

The completed lanterns:

They look even better with the lights off.  With long winter nights approaching, we sure can do with having these cozy lights around!
